Adding text to your gif

To see how to make a gif click here

1.Getting started
I’m just going to assume that you have already made your gif, and coloured it.
So you should have something like this:

2. Writing the text
This part is simple, just click the ‘T’ and draw a box where you want it, then write what you want in the box. It should automatically appear on every gif.
(‘T’ → Draw Box → Write in text box)

3. Where the layer should be.
Just the heads up it is better if the text is above the psd. (psd used in this tutorial is the same as used in the basic gif one)

4. How to get outline: Part 1
You will want to double click on the text layer, a window like shown below should pop up

5. How to get outline: Part 2
Select the ‘stroke’ make sure it is ticked, as well as change the colour. It is best to use black
(tick ‘stroke” → change colour (click on coloured box)→ hit okay)

6. Making the outline appear on all the layers: Part 1
You will see: ‘Effects’ and ‘Stroke’ but also you will notice when you play the gif it will only appear on one layer. So you will need to click on the first layer (in the animation box) and then click off the eye next to ‘effects’ then click it again so it is on. The outlined text should now be present on all the layers.
(Click on first layer (in the animation box) → click off the eye next to ‘effects’→ click the eye next to ‘effects’ back on)

Helpful hints:
1. If you wish to move the text only do so on the first layer then every other one will do the same.
2. To only have text on some of the layers, select the ones you don’t want and click the eye next to effects off.
